Maricopa County and numerous municipalities are still accepting applications for business grants, administered by the Arizona Community Foundation, to assist small businesses and nonprofits that need financial assistance due to COVID-19 related losses. The following is a recap of the programs still accepting applications.

 

  • Maricopa County New Business/Nonprofit Relief Grant
    • Application Deadline: Friday, November 13, 2020
    • Maricopa County is offering grants up to $15,000 to small businesses and nonprofits that began operating prior to March 1, 2020, and is an enhancement of the existing Small Business Relief Program. Click HERE for eligibility requirements and HERE to begin an application.
  • City of Phoenix Small Business Relief Grants – Round Two
    • Application Deadline: 5:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2020
    • The City of Phoenix, in coordination with the Phoenix IDA, is offering grants up to $10,000 to local small businesses, startup companies, and nonprofits experiencing economic distress and sudden loss of revenue due to the pandemic.   • City of Phoenix Microbusiness Resiliency Grants
    • Application Deadline: 5:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2020
    • The City of Phoenix is offering grants of up to $5,000* to local microbusinesses, solo practitioners, and entrepreneurs experiencing economic distress and sudden loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Click HERE for eligibility requirements and HERE to begin an application.
  • Tempe Small Business Grant Program
    • Application Deadline: 5:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2020
    • The City of Tempe is providing businesses in industries most impacted by the effects of COVID-19, including Accommodations and Food Services; Health Care and Social Assistance; Retail Trade; Manufacturing; Arts, Entertainment, and Recreation; Administrative & Support and Waste Management & Remediation Services; and other businesses, such as automotive repair, car washes, computer and appliance repair, barber shops, nail salons, laundries, and dry cleaners. The program will provide qualifying businesses with $1,300 per full-time employee up to a maximum of $10,000, whichever amount is less.   • I Choose Chandler Business Hiring & Retention Program
    • Application Deadline: 4:00 pm, Monday, November 2, 2020
    • The City of Chandler is providing businesses impacted by the effects of COVID-19 with grants up to $10,000, based on their employee retention and hiring. The program, now open to businesses in all industries, will provide qualifying applicants with $1,300 per employee retained or hired since Dec. 31, 2019, up to a maximum of $10,000. NOTE: Any business that started an application prior to October 6, 2020, and was not approved, will need to resubmit with a new application.   • City of Yuma COVID-19 Small Business Grant Relief Program
    • Application Deadline: Grants will be awarded on a continual basis until funding is exhausted or the grant period ends.
    • The City of Yuma is offering relief grants to local small businesses experiencing economic distress and sudden loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic and if they have been closed by Executive Orders from Arizona Governor Doug Ducey.
